In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gerald had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gerald may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Knight of Shawnee, Kansas.; his children, Jeff Knight (Corey) of Shawnee, Kansas, Andrew Knight (Melanie) of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Michael Knight (Jennifer) of Olathe, Kansas. and Jocelyn Jacobs (Pat) of Shawnee, Kansas; his cousin Jim Schmotz of Buena Vista, Colorado; his sibling's children, Greg Hart (Vicky) of Manhattan, Kansas and Dianne Hart of Bucyrus, Kansas; Gerald Hart (Grace) of Olathe, Kansas.. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alden Harrington Funeral Home (214 Oak St, Bonner Springs, KS 66012). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made to the organizations that were close to Jerry's heart.
