It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael James Stapp (Bonner Springs, Kansas), born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William K. Stapp; and his in-laws, Ed and Lois Roberts. He is survived by: his mother Lorie Stapp; his wife Kathy; his children, Ava of Dallas, Sam of Los Angeles and Joshua Robert; his siblings, Cynthia (Bruce) and Bill (Sarah); and his siblings-in-law, Keith Roberts (Karen) and Sheryl Chadwick (Chad). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“My cousin Mike and I were at the farm one fall day over 50 years ago-before lake Stocton. We went squirrel hunting. Mike was serious, mature and knowledgeable beyond his years. He patiently tutored me on hunting squirrels by listening to them running on the dead leaves. Afterward we enjoyed a squirrel supper fixed by our grandma Lula Hughes. Twas the only day I had Mike all to myself. A treasured memory I will never forget. Grant Bourgeous”
