He was predeceased by: his parents, Maceo Freeman and Georgia McFadden-Freeman. He is survived by: his siblings, John Henry Stepney, Willie Stepney, Maceo Freeman Jr. and Bonnie Newman; his grandson Alexander Herron; his children, Shawn Freeman, Na'Lisa Herron, Michelle Givhan (Raynard), Nathaniel Freeman Jr. (Shaton), Ronnell Williams, Tonya Parks, Arveda Green (Leonard II), Stevie Stevenson and Melissa Barnett; and his sisters, Shirley Bolden, Dorothy Ighoyivwi and Dennia Freeman. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, family members, including nieces, nephews, cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Light Missionary Baptist Church (228 Springdale Ave, Bonner Springs, KS 66012).
