He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Nelson; his stepdaughter Shirley Rae Meyer-Heibsch; and his sisters, Judy Leftwich of Kansas and Shirley Jean Modlin of California. He is survived by: his children, Robert Jr. of Wisconsin, Deby Warmack of Kentucky and Barbara Bontrager of Kansas; and his stepchildren, Cheri Armstrong of Texas and Chris Meyer of Iowa. He is also survived by numerous granddaughters, grandsons, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and an extensive extended family.
