He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Gessler and Renee Alice Gessler; and his siblings, Donald Gessler, Mary Gessler, Christine Ann "Tina" Gessler, Kevin Krumsick and Beverly Gessler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Gessler; his children, John R. Gessler, Chris Gessler, Kala Parks and Carrie Gessler; his grandchildren, Haley, Patrick, Charles, Kristina and Katie; his great grandchild Raelynn; his siblings, James (Pam), William (Susan), Robert, Geraldine Krumsick and Stodghill (Rob); and his sister-in-law Jan Gessler.
