Barbara Sue Hills Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Sue Hills of Burlington, Kansas. Barbara, born on January 7, 1952 in Paola, Kansas, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her nephew Paul Apperson; her great-niece Hannae Apperson; and her brother-in-law Keith Reeder. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her children, Jen of Lawrence and Austin (Kaylee) of Lawrence; her grandsons, Jaxton and Hudson; her sisters, Jean Apperson and Ann Reeder; and her nieces and nephews, Tom, Joe Apperson, Chris, Mitchel Reeder, Kevin McCargar, Elizabeth Reeder and Jennifer McCargar.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (801 Garrettson St, Burlington, KS 66839). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Donations in her memory to either of these groups in lieu of flowers will continue their efforts to help others in need.
