He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul R. Gilmore and Bessie L. Gilmore; his son Robert E. Gilmore (Timothy Gilmore); and his former wives, Mary Jane and Jane.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Newkirk; his siblings, Ronald Gilmore and Laura Fiegl; his children, Edwin, Jacque Gilmore, Alan, Lynn Gilmore, Cheryl Gilmore, Angelia Gilmore, William Gilmore, Jim Stepter, Mike Stepter, Trinka Jacobs, Nelson Fink II, Dennis Fink and Tammy Talley; and his siblings, Jesse and Pauline.
