He was predeceased by : his father Barnit E. Penrod; and his brother David Penrod. He is survived by : his mother Bessie E. Penrod (Wagoner); his children, Jared Penrod (Julia), Hillary Randa (Justin) and Laura Prusia York (Levi); his grandsons, Owen and Jack Randa; and his wife Marcia Rickers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
