It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Eugene Riggs of Bushton, Kansas, born in Lyons, Kansas, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Riggs and Helen Osgood Riggs; and his brother Dennis Riggs. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bieberle; his daughter Amanda Plattner (Jeff); his grandchildren, Claire of Holyrood, KS, Adam of Holyrood, KS and Julianna of Holyrood, KS; his daughter Jennifer Riggs; and his brother Charles Riggs (Connie) of Norwich, CT. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Amanda Plattner (for the grandchildren's education fund) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
