He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Glen L. Davis and Jessie R. Davis (Prince); his children, LaMonte "Bud" Davis Jr., LaJuana Jo Colgin and LaRonda Rae Brown; and his brother Gary. He was also cherished by five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the Central Kansas Youth Rodeo Association, in care of Olson's Mortuary, Canton.
