With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Charles Modde II of Carbondale, Kansas, who passed away on May 22, 2026 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Theresa Furst; and his siblings, Cathy Knox and Jeffrey Modde. He is survived by: his father John Charles Modde I of Billings, MT; his close friends, Kelly Stubbs, Dustin Wegner and Cruz; his wife Hazel "Becca" Modde; his children, Tosha Smith (Brad) of Carbondale, KS, John Charles Modde III (Kasey Modde), Ezra Cody Godshall (Sydney) of Carbondale, KS, Cory Godshall of Derby, KS and Blaze Modde of Carbondale, KS; his sister Patty Nelson (Mark) of Rapid City, SD; and his grandchildren, Gavyn, Lylah, Rigyn Smith, Jackson, Piper, Johnny Modde IV and Hailey Grace. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
