He was predeceased by : his parents, Leocadia Kuntz and Antone Walt; his siblings, Edna Arnold, Louise Porter and Joseph Walt; his son-in-law Sam Von Lintel; and his grandson Blake Stoecklein.

He is survived by : his wife Alberta A. Zimmerman; his children, Tom Walt of Utica, KS, Rodney Walt (Traci), Bonnie Von Lintel of Elkhart, KS, Connie Schwindt, Judy Klitzke (Marty), Brenda Stoecklein (Craig) and Debbie Bollinger (Mike); his brother Lavern Walt; his grandchildren, Andrew Von Lintel, Matthew Von Lintel (Aubrey), Katisha Wiegers (Grant), Melissa Brandt (Daniel), Von Lintel, Robby Schwindt (Tala), Eric Schwindt (Tomara), Dillon Schwindt (Alix), Chelsea Lickteig (Jeremy), Kristen Klitzke, Macie Stoecklein, Ryan Stoecklein, Devin Bollinger (Paige), Kylie Kasprzyk (Ryan), Zachary Pitts, Sadye Mullins and Zeven Walt; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Lexi, Asher and Traven Schwindt.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the Sacred Heart Church of Ness City.
