He is survived by: his parents, Dan Matson and Jennifer Matson (Meade) of Vermillion; his fiancé Joee Bussmann; his brother Alex Matson (Shelby); his nephew Braxton of Centralia; his grandparents, Tom, Rheta Matson of Vermillion, Robert and Terri Meade of Centralia; his pet Tator; his close friend Drew Rumbo of Baileyville; and his extended family, Joe of Frankfort, Shannon of Frankfort, Chloe of Frankfort and Branden Bussmann of Frankfort. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorials be directed to: The Centralia Fire Department for Jaws of Life equipment and/or The Marshall County Fair, to support the addition of a Small Animal Wash Rack—projects that reflect Cole's values and lifelong commitment to agriculture and community.
