He was predeceased by : his parents, Leroy Hand and Lorene Hand (Schlarb); his former life partner Pat Huffman; his brothers, Gary, Wayne and Ron Hand; his son Chad (Pat); and his nephew Justin.

He is survived by : his wife Sandy Hand; his children, Shonda Almond (Joe) of Chanute, KS., Molly Keenan (Luke) of Shawnee, KS., Amanda Reimer (Tyson) of Farmington, AR., Anthony Keenan (Serena) of Olathe, KS., Matthew Keenan of Detroit, MI and Sherri Hand (Andy) of Chanute, KS.; his grandchildren, Clete Mussulman (Natalie), Chase Mussulman (Ravyn), Tori Mussulman (Kane), Tessa Olson (Derek), Kylie Hand, Slade Hand, Ryland Reimer and Riley Reimer; his great grandchildren, Payton, CJ, Paige, Emma, Avery, Jace, Braelyn, Cohen, Jaxton, Jerik, Jaylee, Ayva, Autumn, Chastin, Amira and Loyal; his parents-in-law, Wayne and Suzanne McDaniel; his brothers, Walt Ackridge, Tony Williams (Pat), Dennis Baker (Brenda) and Randy McDaniel (Patty); and his niece Dawne Burchett (Jon). He is also survived by family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wickham Family Funeral Home - Chanute (500 N Forest Ave, Chanute, KS 66720). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
