He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Young (Colston) and Jerry Young; and his siblings, Jerry Jr., Paul, Mike Young and Connie Goss.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca (Russell Carson) and Jacob (Crystal Carpenter) of Humboldt; his grandchildren, Mariah Carpenter of Chanute, Jaliyah (Trenton McIntire) of Chanute, Ethan (Ashley Hamlin) of Chanute, Aiden and Haylen Kock of Chanute; and his great grandchildren, Kaysn of Chanute, Silas of Chanute, Charles of Chanute and Kingston of Chanute. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
