She was predeceased by : her parents, George W Edwards and Mary Ellen Edwards (Sutcliffe); her husband James Cottrell; her siblings, William J. Edwards, Fay O. Edwards, Norma Johnstone and Joanne Edwards; and her stepson Larry Wiles.

She is survived by : her former life partner Robert J. Wiles; her daughters, Barbara Livengood of Chanute and Janet Stanley of Wichita; and her stepchildren, Twyla Shull of Chanute and Mike Wiles of Chanute. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
