We are sad to announce that, on April 10, 2026, at the age of 78, Mary Sue Cooper (Chanute, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Solf and Eva Mae Solf (Rodgers); her husband Jim Cooper; and her siblings, Mildred, Shirley, Joy, Charles and Tom.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Rasmussen (Pat) of Lawrence and Doug Cooper (Ashley) of Wichita; her grandchildren, Jacob, Haley Rasmussen, Brooke and Breanna Cooper; and her brother Richard Solf of Bakersfield, CA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Castaways Animal Shelter and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
