The memory of Nelda Hughlene Gillespie of Chase, Kansas, who passed away on June 29, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Kinslow and Donnie Kinslow (Lamm); her husband Curtis Everett Gillespie; her siblings, Klaus Kinslow and Carol Harris; and her brother-in-law Dennis Yeubanks.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Patterson (Chuck) of St. John, KS, Carl Gillespie (Rhonda) of Chase, KS and Rhonda Flickinger (Brad) of Sterling, KS; her siblings, Kenneth Kinslow (Sandy) of Okemah, OK, Ardith Dillard (Cliff) of Wichita, KS and Barbara Yeubanks of Cromwell, OK; her grandchildren, Charlie Patterson, Dustin Patterson (Kayla), Brandi Larson (Keith), Tony Andrews (Jessica), Michelle Mawhirter (Cole), Kyle Gillespie (Rebekah) and Kacey Andrews (Kylie Boele); and her friend Max Tharp. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Chase Springdale Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to The Rebecca Morrison House-Salina Regional or to Pam Patterson (for a scholarship fund in Curtis's memory), in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
