We announce the death of Lew Ray Forman Sr. of Cherryvale, Kansas, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 83. Lew will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Forman and Bernice Forman (Keath); his son Jeffery Robert; and his brother Harry. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean (Hamilton); his children, Shirley Sexton (Cherryvale), Cora, Mike Haines (Wichita), William Forman (Cherryvale), Lew Jr., Jasmin Forman (Cherryvale), Donald and Teresa (VA); his grandchildren, Xavier, Lauren Haines (TX), Gavin, Hannah Haines (Wichita), Landon Haines (Wichita), Haiden Haines (TX), Natalee Davis, Hayden Palmer (Coffeyville), Camdyn, Houston Greenfeather (Cherryvale), Blaze Forman, Maggie Catlin (Cherryvale) and Kadynce Forman (Cherryvale); his great grandchildren, Costyn, Crosslee and Bodhi; and his brother Wayne Forman.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bible Holiness Church (606 Park St, Cherryvale, KS 67335). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (427 N Olive St, Cherryvale, KS 67335). A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at the Fairview Cemetery North Olive (427 N Olive St, Cherryvale, KS 67335).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Cherryvale Bible Holiness Church, and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.
