It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice R. (Holmes) Sinclair (Cimarron, Kansas), who passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude W. Holmes and Ida A. Holmes (Barrows); her husband John Carlyle Sinclair; her grandson Ansel John Sinclair; and her siblings, Claude William Jr., Howard Holmes, Ruth Anne Kittle, Lila Parks and Joyce Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Sinclair of Henderson, NV, Mark Sinclair (Kim) of Derby, KS and Carla Sinclair-Wells (Doug Wells) of Edgewater, FL; her grandchildren, Daniel Podschun, Matthew Podschun and Sierra Podschun; her great grandchildren, Zoey Podschun, Elsie Irby and Orion Irby; her sister Lois Packard of Plains, KS; and her brother-in-law Archie Sinclair (Mary) of Carthage, MO. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church of Cimarron or the Cimarron City Library both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
