It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ila J. Head in Cimarron, Kansas, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Ila shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ila farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Minks and Eva Minks (Dies); her son Michael Lynn; and her husband Charlie. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Alan and Wanita Hickman. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one sister.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church (302 N Main St, Cimarron, KS 67835).
The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Christian Church or Hospice of The Prairie both in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
