He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Woods and Ruby Freidland Woods; his wife Ramona; his son Rufus "Rusty" Woods III; his grandson Preston Wayne Smith; and his son-in-law Gary Cossman.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Dumler (Roger) of Kalvesta, Ruthi Ostgulen (Bob) of Olathe, Rosemary Smith (Garry) of Holton, Roger Woods (Sandy) of Georgetown, Texas, Sue Cossman of Jetmore and Ray Dean "Dino" (Ginger) of Woodward, Oklahoma; his daughter-in-law Donna Woods of Cimarron; his siblings, Linda Rankin (Mike) of Dodge City, Glenda O'Bleness of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ben Woods of Cimarron; and his sister-in-law Shirley Woods of Kalvesta. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Cimarron Church of the Nazarene, The Shepherds Center of Cimarron or Gray County over 50 Senior Center in care of Swaim Funeral Home.
