He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Galliart and Jean Doris Galliart (Stephan); his parents-in-law, Samuel and Irene Ellis; his brother Norman "Shorty"; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ellis and Shirley Ellis; and his nephews, Richard and Curtis Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ellis of Cimarron; his children, Tammy Schartz (Mike) of Dodge City and Todd Galliart (Joy Marie) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Tanner, Nate, Preston Schartz and McKayla (Alyssa Galliart); Jeannie Laging (Ed) of Conway, Arkansas..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel (919 N 5th St, Cimarron, KS 67835). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Cimarron Christian Church (302 N Main St, Cimarron, KS 67835). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Cimarron Cemetery N. (901 N 5th St, Cimarron, KS 67835).
Memorials are suggested to the Cimarron Christian Church or the Gray County Over 50 in care of the funeral home.
