She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Dean and Mary Jane Dalton (Johnson); and her siblings, Terry Dalton, Jimmy Dalton and Norma Giesick.

She is survived by : her husband Lyle Douglas Wharton; her daughters, Staci Smith of Houston and Stephanie Lagerman (Todd) of Riley; her grandchildren, Lily and Logan Lagerman of Riley; and her siblings, Jerry Dalton (Rhonda) of Wichita, Robert Dalton (Mary) of Bison and Lonnie Call of Arlington.

Memorials may be made to HIKE (Hearing Improvement Kids Endowment Fund) and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
