Darlyne Porter Obituary
The memory of Darlyne Porter (Clay Center, Kansas), who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Spilker and Mable Spilker (Carlson); her former husband Clayton Russell; her brother Terry Spilker (Barbara Spilker); and her brother-in-law Sheldon Bergstrom.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Peterson (Mike), Jay Russell (Carol), Curtis Porter (VaLynda), Kari Murray (Pat) and Lee Porter (Michelle); and her sisters, LeAnn Killman (Wilbert) and Jean Bergstrom. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home (918 7th St, Clay Center, KS 67432). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Clay Center United Methodist Church (921 5th St, Clay Center, KS 67432). Darlyne worked until the COVID pandemic changed her status to part time working from her home instead of the office.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay Center Utility Park Zoo, Eisenhower Park Rose Garden or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
