He was predeceased by : his parents, Preston Lee and Leone Edna Smith (Martin). He is survived by : his wife Lynnea Smith of Idana, Kansas; his children, Christine (Brady Wilson) of Littleton, Colorado, Aaron Smith of Wakefield, Kansas and Mike (Jessie Smith) of Clay Center, Kansas; his grandchildren, Jynnea Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson, Makayla Smith, Grant Smith and Lauren Smith; his great grandchild Peter Lucier; and his sisters, Rosa Staten of Tonganoxie, Kansas and Kathy VanHoozer of Kansas City, Kansas..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the USD 379 Transportation Department and can be sent c/o funeral home.
