He was predeceased by : his parents, Dean James and Eva James; his siblings, Russell, Ralph, Milo, Wayne, Bertha Dodds and Genevieve Lindberg; and his granddaughter Rebekah James.

He is survived by : his wife Audrey Tenopir; and his siblings, Arlo James of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, Velda Wiechman of Austin, Alta Olson of Morganville and Vesta Lee Lyne of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
