With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol S. Bowen of Coffeyville, Kansas, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on August 20, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Lloyd Bowen; her close friend Jack Mcginnes; her sister Virginia Lee Shields; and her sons, Fred Vail, Rod Vail and Danny Vail.

She is survived by : her children, Karen Gudde (Robert) of Edna, Marty Vail (Koko) of Coffeyville, Jeff Vail of Coffeyville and Joe Vail (Shelly) of Austin, Texas; and her close friends, Marlita Wolford and Lee Merrick. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; a multitude of great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
