She was predeceased by: her parents, E. J. Shy and Darlene Shy (Rosson); her husband Roger Y. Smith; and her brothers, Chris Shy, Leslie "Skip" Shy and E. J. Shy Jr..
She is survived by: her son Barry Morgan (Karen); her grandchildren, Cyler Morgan of Girard, Kansas and Storm Morgan of Girard, Kansas; her sister Jackie Waddle (Jim) of Lane, Kansas; her niece Lisa Cannady (Mike); her nephew Shane Shy (Ronda); and her friend Tommy White. She is also survived by two aunts, one uncle, several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home (306 N Cline Rd, Coffeyville, KS 67337). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Southern Baptist Church (2701 W 8th St, Coffeyville, KS 67337).
