He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo H. "Dick" Diver and Opal Mae Diver (Bryant); his siblings, Frances Diver, Betty Wright, Everett Diver, Delbert Diver and John Diver; and his grandson Tyson Diver.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Casey Diver of Yates Center, Tracy Diver (Paula) of Wellington, Randy Diver (Marcy) of Independence, Theresa Kuffler (Mike) of Newkirk and David Diver (Julie) of Reno, Nevada; his brother Eldon Diver of El Dorado, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Chambers (Thomas), Michelle Stringer (Josh), Amy Butler (Nathan), Clint Diver, Corey Diver, John Kuffler (Nicole), Tommy Kuffler, Luke Kuffler (Jordan), Sarah Oshakuade (Tony), Amanda Diver and Emily Diver. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials in Elmer's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society; contributions may be left with or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
