He is survived by: his wife Linda Deatherage; his children, Angela Wickes (James) and Dan Deatherage; his stepchildren, Stacey Allen and Jennifer Dodd (Jeremiah); and his siblings, Keith Hawks, Cecilia Rosenthal and Gina Basile. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
