He was predeceased by : his parents, Earlie Gunter of Washington and Margaret Gunter (Scott) of Washington; his brothers, Duce and Bobby of Washington; his grandparents, Wesley, Magnolia of Washington, Sam Scott and Gracie Allen; his niece Elizabeth Jones of Washington; and his great-nephew Arterrious Tyreck Jones.

He is survived by : his daughters, Cheryleen and Cheryl of Washington; his stepchildren, Andrea Newton, James Newton, Michael O'Neal and Steven O'Neal; his sisters, Deborah Scott and Vicki Shelton; and his stepfather Lewis Gunter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other close family and friends.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
