She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Crabb and Dorothy Crabb (Phillips); and her brother Jay Crabb. She is survived by: her grandson Alex; her husband Harold F. Herbel; her children, Harold G. "Butch" Herbel of Colby and Tami Ledger (Troy) of Omaha, Nebraska; her granddaughter Amanda Fromholtz (Travis); her great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Remy Jack and Macklin of Lathrop, Missouri; her grandsons, Austin Herbel (Leitha Kay) of Manhattan, Kansas and Harold "Alex" Herbel (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Elsie and Breck of Lathrop, Missouri; her grandchildren, Hollie Herbel of Hays, Kansas and Christopher Chavez (Karen); her great grandchild Isabel of Colorado Springs; her granddaughter Olivia Rogers (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Georgia and June of St. Francis, Kansas; her granddaughter Ana Chavez (Austin Karel) of Omaha; her sister Janice Hanna (John); and her nephew Jay Hanna of Prescott, Arizona.. She is also survived by Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to two of Jean's favorite organizations can be made to the Pioneer Memorial Library or Thomas County Historical Society Prairie Museum of Art and History and mailed in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701.
