He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Zimmerman and Erma Zimmerman (Troyer); and his siblings, James Zimmerman, Earl "Doc" Zimmerman, Elsie Gunden, Lois Lauffer, Norma Conrad and Ruby Stotts.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Zimmerman (Metzger) of Protection, KS; his children, Dallas (Val) of Protection, KS, Travis of Dodge City, KS, Heather Hice (Jareb) of Lawrence, KS and A. J. (Amanda) of Protection, KS; his grandchildren, Lexi Morton (Devon), Derek Morton, Quinton Hice, Mallary Hice, Rylin Zimmerman and Creed Morton; his great grandchild Taightem Woods; and his siblings, Mike Zimmerman (Louise) and JoAnn Day. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
