With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Lou Guy of Columbus, Kansas, who passed away on March 1, 2024 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Lou Guy to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Pearly Elmer and Pearl Gatewood (North); her brothers, Homer Gatewood and Charles Gatewood; her husband Bob D. Guy; and her son James D. Guy (Jim).

She is survived by : her daughters, Jan Locke (Randy) of Erie, KS and Bobbi Koons (Paul) of Columbus, KS. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made payable to The Gran Villas, in care of the funeral home, in honor of Betty.

“Betty was my good friend,we spent many summers playing at the pool. Bob was also a good friend. When we were teens we were very close, If I was not with Betty,I was with her neighbor Grace. Grace was also a very good friend.Like all old friends we have many sweet memories, Over the years I have prayed for friends and Betty was one of them, I am so happy she had a good life. Rest in peace my special friend. Love to all your family. Kay Skahan”
