It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Joseph Meiers Jr. of Columbus, Kansas, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Joseph Meiers Sr. and Angeline Irene Meiers (Montee); his spouse Amedia Eugenia Beckley; his son-in-law Bill Vilmer; his grandson William Dee Meiers-Vilmer; and his niece Chasity Ann Scholes.

He is survived by : his daughter Mary Vilmer of Pittsburg, KS; his siblings, Edward Meiers of Frontenac, KS, Angela M. Weir (Albert) of Mulberry, KS and Ethella Jean Mitchell of Jay, OK; his grandsons, Joseph Vilmer and James Vilmer; and his nephews, Randy L. Rakestraw Jr. and Nicholas Joseph McIntier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
