He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Strickland and Minnie Belle Strickland (Needham); his son Henry Wilson; his stepson Billie L. McKee, II; his son-in-law Mark Carter; his granddaughters, Amanda Moore and Christy McCuen; and his sister Ramona Gwartney.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Carter of Chetopa, Beckie Keith (Robert) of Chetopa, Brian Strickland (Kellie) of Chetopa, Darrell Lamme (Teresa) of Elwood, Robin Lamme of Hutchinson and Mark Lamme (Carolyn) of Everest; and his siblings, Duane Strickland of Raymore and Patricia Lollar of Haysville. He is also survived by Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
