We announce the death of Patrick James Hughes (Colwich, Kansas), who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 75. Patrick will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Major Lawrence Francis Hughes and Helen Aileen Hughes (James); his family Sundays; his siblings, Michele and Michael; his wife Mary Jean (Smith); his children, Molly (Ryan), Patrick (Cherise) and Caitlin Rose (BJ); and his grandchildren, Rose Caroline, Ireland James, Fiona Geraldine, Annie Genevieve, Bonnie Aileen, Golden Summer, Seamus Patrick and Patrick James. He was also cherished by his children and wife, or with his church family.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 3660 N 215th St W, Colwich, KS 67030. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
