We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2025, at the age of 90, Berneda Swanson of Concordia, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon H. Roberts and Flossie M. Roberts (Landreth); her husband Richard Swanson; her children, Robert Swanson and Catherine Ann; her granddaughter Sara Swanson Smith; and her brother Donald Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Swanson and Darla Jacobs (Roger); her grandchildren, Colsen, Cambrie, Caigen Swanson, Dustin Swanson, Chantell McKenzie, Cyranda Ready (Bo), Skyler Jacobs (Starleen) and MaKayla Jacobs; and her great grandchildren, Shevelle Smith, Rochelle, Keisha, Ashlynn, RosaLee Ready, Kaysen Jacobs, Taylor Pierce, Joel Fuller and Jaxson Thompson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home (325 W 6th St, Concordia, KS 66901). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wesleyan Church (1603 Cedar St, Concordia, KS 66901).
