He was predeceased by : his parents, Rolland Hood and Lolita Hood (Miller). He is survived by : his children, Shawn Hood of Concordia, KS, Chandra Hood, Gisborne and Garett Hood (Stephanie) of Concordia, KS; his grandchildren, Bryce Young and Cameron Young; and his great grandchild Jhett Young.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home (325 W 6th St, Concordia, KS 66901). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

The family welcomes flowers or memorials to the American Legion Post #76 in care of the funeral home.
