With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVern C. Mies of Conway Springs, Kansas, who passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

LaVern was predeceased by : husband Nick Mies; parents, Fred Koster and Clara Koster (Ast); brothers, Marvin Koster, Wilber Koster and Keith Koster; children, Duane Mies and Marilyn Peterson; and grandson Jedadiah.

LaVern is survived by : sons, David Mies, Glenn Mies (Ed) of Conway Springs, KS and Gary Mies of Goddard, KS; and brother Klon Koster of Rathdrum, ID. LaVern is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
