He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Allen and Edith Ora Thomas (Mallory); his wife Connie; his son Rex Dean Thomas; his son-in-law Dean Forsberg; his grandchildren, Chad Thomas and Sierra Forsberg; and his brothers, Eugene John Thomas and Donald Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Dale Thomas (Jeanine) of Belvidere, Nanette Lynn Forsberg of Burdick, Charles Robert Downes (Cheryl) of Council Grove and Cindy Kay Jones (Lane) of Burlington; and his brother Robert Dale Thomas (Jan). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren 7 great-great-grandchildren.
