It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Clayton Finney Jr. (Council Grove, Kansas), born in Americus, Kansas, who passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Clayton and Evelyn Marie Finney (Viles); and his son Jordan Paul Finney. He is survived by: his wife Patricia M. Stone; his son John Clayton Finney (Anne); his grandchildren, Jennifer Finney-Bosch (Justin) and Christopher A. Sweet (Emiri); his great grandchildren, Cameron Bosch, Kelsey Mitchell (James), Nico Y. Sweet and Luca M. Sweet; and his great great grandchildren, Oakleigh Varin and Blakelynn Bosch.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sawyer Chapel (137 N Union St, Council Grove, KS 66846).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clayton Finney Memorial Fund.
