He was predeceased by: his son Derrick Elsen; his father Melvin Elsen (Mother Pauline Elsen); his siblings, Lisa Carter, Bob and Dick Mestdagh; and his former wife Sharon Elsen.
He is survived by: his children, Dean, Kendra Elsen of Council Grove, KS, Desiree and Robert Hoose of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Jason, Colton, Kasten, Elle, Blair and Hailey; his mother Chris Elsen of Evanston, WY; his brothers, Paul Elsen (Sheena), Scott Elsen (Barb) and Jon Mestdagh (Cheryl); and his siblings-in-law, Jan Mestdagh of Ackley, IA and Paul Carter of Sandy, UT..
