He is survived by: his children, Sharlot Ahrens (Richard) of Olathe and Steven Brown of Courtland, Kansas.; his wife Joan Brown; his grandchildren, Alexander "Alex" Brown (Jordan) of Concordia, Kansas, Cassandra Advokat (Evan) of Overland Park, Kansas, Kelsey Lindberg-McKinley (Ernest "Ernie") of Courtland, Kansas and Aaron Ahrens (Celsie) of Gardner, Kansas.; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Alyssa Brown, Elijah, Josiah Advokat, Richard "Weston", Steven "Wylder" Lindberg, Analya McKinley, Elliott "Lottie" and Murphy Ahrens; and his sister Shirley Phelps of Brighton, Colorado.. He is also survived by his wife, family, other relatives and many friends.
