He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Powers and Alice Powers (Pierce); his sister Patricia Powers; and his grandson Stoney Blecha. He is survived by: his children, Tim Powers, Tamera Robertson (Johnny), Jeremy Powers and Jennifer Clark (David); his grandchildren, Charie Ardrey (Dakota) and Branden Mitchell (Lily); his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Ardrey, Brynlee Ardrey and Gavin Mitchell; and his brother Ronald Powers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
