Jeri Coldwell wrote a sympathy message

“Mrs. Mathis (Joan) was my very 1st supervisor at Southwestern Bell at Independence, Kansas She was wonderful to work for. I followed transfer to Emporia and she again was my supervisor. I got very sick one time. Mr. and Mrs. Mathis helped me through that ordeal. I will never forget her and her husband. Their kindness was amazing. My sincere condolences and prayers for her family. Her dedication to our Heavenly Father showed through and through.”
