He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth Whatley and Margaret Madrid Mata; his former wife Maria Margaret Jimenez (Mary); his children, Rose Ann Kopp (Calvin) of Garden City, KS, David Whatley (Theresa) of Goddard, KS, Floyd Whatley Jr. of Garden City, KS, Jessica Fonseca (Samuel) of Garden City, KS and Yolanda Scisney (Dallas) of Garden City, KS; his siblings, Jesse Whatley (Cindy) of La Junta, CO, Gloria McKinney (Dave) of La Junta, CO, Victor Mata of La Junta, CO, Christina Mata of Denver, Larry Mata (Connie) of Lamar, CO and Jerry Mata (Janet) of La Junta, CO; his wife Mary Whatley; his daughter Karen Whatley; and his siblings, Lorraine Steadman and Leroy Whatley Mata. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.
