He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hards and Twila Long Hards; and his siblings, Opal Carver and Arthur "Art" Hards. He is survived by: his significant other Linda Mooney; his daughters, Angela Cameron (Jason), Melissa Stephens, Miranda Gallegos (Gabe) of Lawton, OK and Ashley Dorr (Scott); his stepchildren, Lori Murnan (Rick) and Jason Nudson (Trina); and his brothers, Ronald Hards (Carol) and Gary Hards (Marie). He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home (524 Pennsylvania Ave, Holton, KS 66436). Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
