He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Leroy and Tima Leona Harpster (Crawford); his son Rodney Harpster; and his siblings, Agnes, Daisy and Vernon.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Schnoebelen (Mike) of Cherryvale, Carolyn Forman (Will) of Cherryvale, Cathy Robinson (Pat) of Liberty and Doug Harpster (Bridget) of Independence; his grandchildren, Cody (Laci), Courtney (Joe), MaKaylee (Branden), Cutler, Nick (Avery), Tayler (Alec), Ryan, Takayla (Cory), Amber (Rod), Drew (Hayden), Gage, Traxton and Trenton; and his great grandchildren, Raigen, Ava, Reid, Ryder, Natalee, Peyton, Adi, Oakleigh, Kaysen, Brixxon, Landon, Layla, Jace, Carson and Briar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
